This past week we decided to get out of the city for a couple of days. We wanted to go camping but the heat here is crazy and since it doesn't get below 75 at night, I wasn't sure how much of a fun trip it would if we didn't have air conditioning. So we decided just to pick a hotel in a small town off of Route 66 to stay at and be lazy, and we loved it! The hotel was so much fun, we went swimming (twice actually), played ping pong, miniture golfing, and even tried our hands at some shuffle board all without even leaving the hotel! We also took Hannah to the best playground ever! It was complete with a mini golf course, kids train that went around a lake, and an old fashion carosel. Unfortunatley the train and carosel were closed so we just played on the playground, but it was a pretty sweet set up anyways! Afterwards we went to the National Route 66 museum, which gave us any and all facts that we ever wanted to know about the Mother Road.
